Wolfsbane Save The World', the group's effervescent, hard driving, melodious, hard riffing, joyous, totally uplifting fourth studio opus, is, to put it quite simply, the album the band always threatened to make, but never actually achieved. None of the producers on the band's 3 earlier albums was ever able to harness Wolfsbane's unrelenting live sound onto a studio album ' even including Rick Rubin himself ' but, 17 years on, the band themselves have done it. 'Wolfsbane Save The World' was recorded, engineered and produced by guitarist Jase Edwards at his studio 'Majestic Splendour', where he has produced a number of 'name' bands in the past.

Beastie Boys Adam Yauch and Mike D busy with side projects
Adam Yauch and Mike D from the Beastie Boys have been keeping busy in their time between albums.Yauch, who recently battled cancer, has acquired the rights for the LCD Soundsystem film Shut Up and Play the Hits for his company Oscilloscope Laboratories. He expects to release the film to theaters in North America this summer and in the rest of the world shortly thereafter. The film documents the group's final show at Madison Square Garden in 2011. Yauch said of the film "Perhaps having grown up in a band for most of my life ... a band that formed when I was 16 years old ... and having released our first record when I was still in high school, this film addresses so many questions. For instance, it can be pretty clear when a band starts, but perhaps less so when it ends, or how it should end. In that sense, it's brilliant of James [Murphy] to end it in such a definitive way."Mike Diamond (aka Mike D) is curating a visual arts show at the Los Angeles Museum of Contemporary Art running from April 20 to May 6.Diamond told Rolling Stone "As somebody who's been making music most of their life, I've always been interested and I've had the good fortune of meeting a fair number of visual artists and if you look at what my band has done, visuals have always been almost an equally important presentation for us as music was.
The Jacksons tour for first time in 28 years
The remaining Jackson brothers, Jackie, Jermaine, Marlon and Tito, will be taking the Unity Tour on the road this June and July. It's the first time they have toured together since The Victory Tour, with their brother Michael, in 1984.The Jacksons first achieved international superstardom with their late brother Michael, becoming the first group ever to have their first four singles hit #1 on the Billboard Charts. The Unity Tour 2012 will be yet another milestone for the Jacksons, bringing one of the most famous family in music back together for a historic series of shows.Honoring Michael's memory and bringing the fans all the timeless hits they know and love is also paramount for Jermaine Jackson. "I am so happy and excited to perform again onstage with my brothers," he said. "I can't wait to sing all the songs that were so much a part of all of our lives. Rihanna: I'm fearless
Rihanna has learnt to be 'fearless' in order to survive the entertainment industry. The 24-year-old star admits she was naïve when she first started out as a singer. However, she has since matured and is now confident to trust her own instincts.'It's really easy for me to zone out, get in my own world. I need to be really stern about the point I'm trying to make, even if not verbal,' she told British magazine We Love Pop. 'You need to be fearless.Rihanna can soon be seen making her movie debut in Battleship. Her inner strength also proved vital on the set of the action film. You need to be unaffected in the movie industry,' she explained. 'And look, we are still going through it, and it's emotional sometimes and difficult. We're still friends ' and we're parents. But it's going to take time. It's tough. Jon Anderson collaborates with Italian composer Marco Sabiu
Jon Anderson, former member of Yes, has collaborated with Italian composer and conductor Marco Sabiu on the new song Limitless Lives.Anderson said of the collaboration 'A good friend of mine, musician Alessandro de Rosa, put Marco Sabiu and I in touch with each other just last month. I was instantly connected to Marco's music; he sent me the music track and within moments I had sang the song and lyric and sent back to him. Marco loved my singing, so we talked about releasing the song on his new album. I love his Limitless theme for the song, as I wrote the lyric I realized we have so much to learn in this life, and we are truly Limitless human beings'The collaboration with Jon was born by chance, as most of the best things often do,' says Marco. 'What I found in Jon is the ideal musical partner: I've never met anybody who has understood my music and bettered it so quickly and effectively as Jon did. I was always very passionate about prog-rock, and being able to work with a legend like Jon is an honor, and truly exciting.' Along with being a highly respected arranger (Take That, Kylie Minogue, Pavorotti, Morricone), Marco is currently a TV star and crossover chart artist in his native Italy, as well as orchestrator and conductor for major Italian rock stars, including the arena act Ligabue. Jon Anderson and Marco Sabiu are planning to record a full album together and a tour in 2013.The song is available now for download at the iTunes store and is also available on Marco Sabiu's most recent album Audio Ergo Sum, which was presented on February 18, 2012 on live TV before an audience of 12 million; the album has consequently reached iTunes Italy Top 10.
The Parlotones to release 'Journey Throuh The Shadows' and climb Kilimanjaro
On May 7th, South Africa's biggest selling band The Parlotones release their new 'Journey Through The Shadows', on earMUSIC, Hamburg based rock branch of Edel Group. It has been 2 years since The Parlotones released their full length album 'Stardust Galaxies' which was fast achieving double platinum status in their home country and received massive attention in Europe and the US. The Parlotones have regularly performed sell out concerts in the UK, including multiple Shepherd Bush Empire shows. The new album 'Journey Through The Shadows' includes 12 brand new tracks of their undeniable romantic and anthemic rock sound. Melody-minded arena-filling songs that transcend language and culture barriers. The first single 'Save Your Best Bits,' with its theme of not allowing negative things from the past to affect the good parts of your soul, and the celebratory 'I Am Alive' are about catharsis. They chase those moments of universal human experience when everyone in the room is uplifted by a shared emotion. 'My goal is to connect with people across the world, and I think the human condition is very similar regardless of where you are,' Morbee says. 'I think the theme of these songs is hope and that life is worth living regardless of its ups and downs.' That theme informs the album's title, 'Journey Through The Shadows', which Morbee explains, is a metaphor for the human experience. 'You're not given a guidebook or map at birth that guarantees the smoothest path,' he says. 'Ultimately, we all walk through with a candle that only allows us to see so far in front of ourselves. You never know what's around the corner, so it's an analogy for life.

Conor Maynard releases 'Cant Say No' video

Loverush UK Kinky Roland and Mark Schneider are no strangers to collaborations. Some basic research shows that they've worked with the likes of Marc Almond, Boy George and Andrea Britton; none of whom are strangers to dance music. Bryan Adams, though, is not an artist one would usually associate with the dance scene (leaving aside Run to You) so on paper this project was to be feared.Listened to in the raw, and to the untrained ear, Tonight in Babylon sounds like a pretty formulaic dance track; it glides along effortlessly on a solid if unspectacular beat and no doubt would have been gone down well in the clubs. But Bryan Adams vocal lifts the song out of the ordinary trance melee, giving it an edge and gravitas that it wouldnt have had. He really does add another dimension to a song that while perfectly danceable, lacked identity.

The Fray set to rock at Hard Rock for Absolute Sessions
Absolute Radio and Hard Rock Cafe have today announced that American rock band The Fray will be the latest act to grace the stage at London's iconic Hard Rock Cafe. The Colorado based band will be performing a live and intimate session ahead of their third album release; Scars & Stories. Having already released the first single, 'Heartbeat', Scars & Stories is set to generate a wealth of acclaim. Influenced by the likes of Counting Crows and U2, The Fray have met much success after their formation in 2002. Their debut album 'How to Save a Life' went Platinum with its release in 2005, and their self-titled album 'The Fray' earned them a nomination for Best Pop Vocal Band at the Grammys in 2010. Absolute Radio Presenter Polly James will be announcing the show live on air and said: 'The Fray are a really top band. I remember the first time I heard 'How to Save A Life' and I've been a fan ever since.
