John Fogerty Has Brad Paisley, Miranda Lambert on New Album

Before he became a rock 'n' roll icon as leader of Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Fogerty had a great affinity for country music. His appreciation for the genre extends to a select few of today's biggest country acts, including Brad Paisley and Miranda Lambert, both of whom he recruited for a new album of original music he's been putting together for the past several months. Although the disc has no official release date yet, he's slated to tour Australia and New Zealand in March, with possible U.S. dates later this year.

Of the collaborators, which will also reportedly include rock's Foo Fighters, John tells Billboard Brad Paisley is "a person I really admire for a whole bunch of reasons and a heck of a nice guy, too."

He's also clearly taken with Miranda, saying, "She's a great voice and a great, soulful presence in music, and really a delightful person."

In fact, at last month's House of Blues performance by Miranda's trio Pistol Annies, the singer-guitarist joined the trio for a performance of his own 1969 rock classic, 'Bad Moon Rising.' At the same show, Miranda also performed 'Dear Diamond,' from her 'Four the Record' album, which she prefaced by noting (according to Rolling Stone), "I don't mean to brag. But he texted me and told me this is one of his favorites."
