Bhangra Kings RBD get ready to showcase new tour and album

International Urban group RDB has come a long way in becoming one of the leading South Asian producers, musicians, singers and entertainers in the world, with a huge following in the UK and internationally in India, Pakistan, Middle East, Canada and America. RDB, which was formed in 2000 by three Bradford-based Punjabi Sikh brothers Kuly, Manj and Surj, has radically pioneered the style of British Bhangra by remolding it into a raw urban sound, making their work stand out from the crowd. Their musical influences were shaped at a young age when they were introduced to music by their father, who taught them to sing religious songs and play the harmonium in their Gurdwara (Temple).RDB (Rhythm Dhol Bass) have brought audiences around the world a new genre of music. Bringing different musical styles and genres together and fusing these with South Asian influences is ultimately what comprises the familiar and popular 'RDB sound'. Putting their distinctive musical stamp on the international and UK music scenes, RDB have written, sung, played instruments and produced for countless hit songs, most notably for many A-List Bollywood films, including the cross-urban music track, Shera Di Kaum, which saw them collaborate with Grammy Award winning American artist Ludacris and Bollywood superstar Akshay Kumar. Other mainstream collaborations include tracks with Snoop Dogg, Elephant Man and Public Enemy.

Future Of The Left new album 'the plot against common sense' out soon

Future Of The Left are excited to announce that they will release their new record, 'the plot against common sense' on 11th June 2012 through Xtra Mile Recordings in the UK and Europe and on 12th June in North America through Xtra Mile/ILG..Constituting 49.8 minutes of singing, shouting, slinking, smashing and (at times) sobbing, the album is the best thing the band have put their name to in this or any other dimension, a fact which is not open to debate.Recently expanded to a four-piece, initially as a bet, the band originally conceived the record as a Broadway musical based on the recent British phone-hacking scandal but were forced to abandon this idea due to budgetary restrictions. This is not a joke. After writing hundreds of songs fifteen were recorded and placed into an order deliberately selected to exhibit the full dynamic range of the experience, a gift which will be lost to anybody who regularly utilitises the shuffle function on their mp3 player.Recent single 'sheena is a t-shirt salesman' is currently being blasted out across the airways played and championed by Radio 1's Daniel P Carter, Huw Stephens as well as XFM, 6Music and Kerrang! Slash issues statement on the Jim Marshall death

Former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash has issued a statement saluting the late-Jim Marshall, developer of the Marshall Amp.I consider myself very fortunate to have known the late Jim Marshall. He was such a fantastic individual. Not only did he create the loudest, most effective, brilliant-sounding Rock & Roll amplifier ever designed, but he was a caring, hardworking family man who remained true to his integrity to the very end. His work ethic was unequaled and his passion unrivaled. He took great care of me personally, as one of his loyal fans and Marshall Amp enthusiasts, ever since we first met in the early 90's.At that time, he did the unprecedented; he had the first-ever Artist Model Marshall series designed for me when my Marshall amps were destroyed in a Guns N Roses concert riot in St. Louis in 1991. We had been friends ever since.Jim cared for all his customers like they were his family. He would do whatever it took to make sure an artist was completely satisfied and he made sure his staff did likewise. It was very important to him that Marshall quality and customer care was paramount.Jim's passing marks the end of a very loud and colorful era. From Pete Townshend to Kerry King, Marshall Amplifiers have been behind every great Rock & Roll guitarist since the beginning. Marshall Amplification is one of the most enduring, iconic brands of contemporary music history. This industry will likely never see the likes of Jim again. But his legacy will live on forever.
