New band Harrison prepares for debut gig

Months of preparation will come to a head for a band from Slough this week when they take to the stage for their debut gig.
Harrison are set to play the 229 Club in London on Friday as they prepare to launch their very first EP this year.
But the band are no strangers to the local music scene.
Having grown up together in Slough, members Lee Lovering, Thomas Lane, Jason Meaney and Danielle Abbott left their former band My Little Decoy to start something new.
Lee and Thomas had also previously played in the bands Girl Afraid and Here Goes Everything.
With the addition of Robert Furnell to the line up, Harrison was born in November 2010, but did not launch officially until September 2011.
The delay was a creative decision, with the band wanting to put all of their efforts into writing and recording their material before playing it live.
The launch was marked by the uploading of their debut track Homecoming Flame to their online blog www.dontcallmejunior.co.uk, which now also features the tracks Have the Courtesy to Daydream and Feeling Fine, as well as a preview of a live set recorded for Denmark Sessions.
December saw the band receive airtime on BBC Berkshire's introducing shows, including winning the weekly panel competition to have a song played in full.
